Locally Made with Love
Chattanooga is home to a community of crafters and artisans passionate about making products they genuinely love and believe in. Some of our favorites include the Moon Pie snacks, which have been locally made by the Campbell family in their bakery for over 105 years (this snack will surely satisfy your sweet tooth!).
As well as the more traditional art showcased at the In Town Gallery, which exhibits crafts and contemporary art pieces from artists in the Chattanooga area. With the gallery being managed and artist-owned, you’ll find authentic art made with love from the Chattanooga area.
Discover Chattanooga’s Scenic Outdoors
It’s no secret that Chattanooga has some of the most stunning outdoor views you can lay your eyes upon in the state of Tennessee. Located along the Tennessee River, Chattanooga offers a variety of hiking trails and mountains to pursue and explore.
The Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park offers over 30 miles of hiking trails. The park also provides ranger-guided and self-guided tours, so you can get acquainted with the park’s history and trails. The Sunset Rock is one of our favorite views in the area, overlooking the west side of Lookout Mountain; it is perfect for snapping a couple of pictures and taking in Chattanooga’s beautiful views.
Landmarks to Explore and Learn
Chattanooga offers a variety of landmarks and destinations that you’ll want to add to your itinerary to check out! Some of our favorites include the Tennessee Aquarium and the Walnut St. Bridge.
The Tennessee Aquarium features two stunning buildings known for their glass peaks, making them a signature feature of Chattanooga’s downtown skyline. The aquarium also has an IMAX screen that is always showing family-friendly movies, an ideal place for a fun and educational day with the kids! The aquarium is a great family activity to learn about Tennessee’s biodiversity and conservation efforts.
If you want to go out for a stroll and experience more of the city’s views, the Walnut Street Bridge is a great choice! It is one of the world’s longest pedestrian bridges, conveniently located in downtown Chattanooga and connecting to the city’s north shore. It is a perfect place to enjoy a walk, while you take in the city’s breathtaking vistas. Plus, the bridge is dog friendly, so you can also bring your furry friend out for a stroll!
